Who we are

Tiny Pixel Editor is made and published by idlebydesign.

The short version

Google Analytics runs on public information pages only if you accept optional cookies.
No account or sign-up is needed. The bug-report form does not ask for your email address.
Your artwork is made, edited and exported inside your browser and is never transmitted.
Your browser keeps your work on your own device so it survives closing the tab; you can delete all of it on this page.

What is stored on your device

The studio stores the following information in your browser on this device so you can continue where you left off:

Your drawings:
Open and recent projects are saved automatically in your browser so you can continue later.
Palettes and recent colours:
Your saved colours and recently used colours.
Saved file locations:
Where supported, your browser remembers the project files you choose to save to. Clearing site data forgets these saved file locations without deleting your files.
Editing preferences:
Your pen pressure settings and custom keyboard shortcuts.
Custom brushes:
Brushes you create and save.
View preferences:
Your workspace layout and display settings.
Offline access:
A saved copy of the app lets you open the studio without an internet connection.

You can remove this information using the button below or by clearing site data in your browser settings. This permanently removes the browser's saved copies of your projects and settings, so save or export anything you want to keep first.

Files you have already saved to your device are not deleted.

Files you open

Files you choose to open are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us. Imported artwork may be saved in your browser as part of your projects.

Where supported, you can save changes back to a file you have chosen. Your browser controls access and may ask you to grant permission.

Service records

Preventing spam:
When you use the bug-report form, our server temporarily uses your IP address to limit repeated submissions. Your IP address is not saved with your report.
Hosting and security:
Our hosting provider processes connection information to deliver the site. Server records may include your IP address, the pages requested and the time of a request. These records help operate, troubleshoot and protect the service; they do not contain your artwork.

We also use Cloudflare to help deliver the site and protect it from attacks. When your connection passes through Cloudflare, it processes information such as your IP address and the pages you request. Bug reports submitted through the site also pass through this service. Your drawings continue to be processed on your device.
Bug reports:
Submitted bug reports are stored securely on our server for our team to review and track fixes. Clearing data in your browser does not delete reports already submitted. Deleted reports may remain in recent backup copies until those copies are replaced.

Optional website analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics on the home, privacy and terms pages to understand visits and time spent on those pages. It does not run in the editor or on the bug-report form.

Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish browsers and group visits. Google receives information such as the page visited, browser and device details, and connection information needed to deliver the request. We remove query strings and page fragments from the page addresses we send. We do not send your drawings or bug reports, and advertising features are disabled.

Analytics is off until you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. Choosing “Reject” does not affect the site or editor. You can change your choice using “Cookie settings” in the footer of these public pages. We remember your choice for up to six months. Withdrawing permission removes this site's Google Analytics cookies and stops further collection; it does not remove data already received by Google.

Google may process analytics information outside your country. Read Google's privacy policy for information about how Google handles it. The delete control on this page also clears your analytics choice and cookies.

Optional editor statistics

Usage statistics are on by default in the editor. We receive a visit count and an estimate of your active time. Time stops counting when the editor is hidden or after a minute without interaction. We do not receive your drawings, filenames, keystrokes or individual editing actions.

You can turn statistics off at any time using Help → Usage statistics in the editor. Your choice is saved in your browser. Turning statistics off does not affect editing. Clearing site data also resets this preference. A temporary session identifier groups time updates for up to 24 hours; it is not used to recognise you on later visits. Our private dashboard keeps combined hourly totals for about two years. Recent backups may retain expired records until those backups are replaced.

Statistics requests pass through Cloudflare and our server. Connection information is processed to deliver requests and prevent abuse, but IP addresses are not stored in the usage statistics. These figures are approximate and do not identify individual people.

Voluntary bug reports

When you submit the report a bug form, the summary and details you provide are saved for our team to review. The form does not send your artwork, attach files or automatically collect information about your device. Please do not include personal information, passwords or links.
